about me
Finding an everyday Joy
My journey started with a deep commitment to respecting men and women as “different but equal”. I began my career by applying this principle in social action and in the life of organizations. But I realized that I was seldom filled with a sense of joy in my own life and missing this set me off on a voyage of discovery that I am still on.
Through “spiritual” exoteric and esoteric explorations, I discovered untold riches in the dynamics of masculine and feminine as “equal and different: distinct and interconnected”. …and I found the way to awaken to this paradoxical splendor was not by seeking to be special but in my ordinariness and the spirit that lives only in the moment. . A doorway to limitless expansion can be found in everyday living through my heart’s intention and my body senses. Then I can accept my mind and my emotions as partners in my aliveness.
On the other side of our ordinariness is the extraordinary or sacred, like the other side of a coin. The dance of masculine and feminine energies is a marvelous lightning rod to heighten an expansive awareness of how we can enrich ourselves through the focus of our attention.
I will be sharing principles from advanced certified training with Charles Muir (Source School of Tantra), David Deida (Yoga of light), Saida Desilet’s (Jade Goddess) and Taoist approaches amongst others. I also bring emotional development from Gestalt, Jungian and Body-centred therapies. Graduating from the ‘consciousness school’ of Richard Moss’ mentor programme I find a real affinity with Zen Buddhist meditation and Tantric Buddhist worldviews. Beyond this I weave in practices from 25 years of fascination with joyful personal transformation.
I rejoice in my senses: in the power of dance, singing, music, visualization and the spoken word, intimate conversation, meditation, physical and energetic movement. All that nurtures an uncritical mind and the peacefulness of self-acceptance that allows simple right action to flow… and I welcome any one who cares to join me for a while on the journey…
